RUBBER TIME is the English translation of the Indonesian phrase “Jam Karet” which mean time can moulded and stretched. “Jam Karet” means its okay to take things slow and be a little late.
Here Rubber Time, we focus on creating items that are made to last and brings us borth joy/function. Our mission is to continue celebrating good design, humour and finding balance in the everyday. Allowing ourselves to take a step back and enjoy the simple things in life at your own pace.

It all started from a conversation during our seconde year-placement year during our studies at Central Saint Martins when the term ‘Jam Karet’ was mentioned. Rubber Time promotes the art of waiting and find a balanced approach to work, leisure and rest in our day-to-day lives as workers, as consumers, and as people. Having both come from Southeast Asian backgrounds, we want to bring together not only what inspires us at home by across the world too.
